Brisbane Typhoon charge an annual membership fee for all members, which covers the use of our club craft and participation in all training sessions which are carried out by our fully accredited coaching staff and sweeps. Our club fees go towards purchase/maintenance of equipment and general running costs including lease fees of our training premise. We strive to keep our fees as low as possible and we believe they offer great value.
All paddlers are required to pay an annual fee to Dragon Boat Qld (DBQ) which allows you to compete at events/regattas and also includes insurance. DBQ fees are included in our membership fee structure. We are committed to our sport and supportive of our juniors. Junior fees (under 18) are substantially reduced and for juniors under 15 we only ask for DBQ’s compulsory insurance fee.
To encourage pariticipation in the sport, DBQ have created a Dragonpass membership, which allows prospective members to try paddling for 1 month. Link to the Dragonpass is below.
All Brisbane Typhoon memberships require approval from the Commitee and are valid for one year from receipt of payment.
